What are Vaults?

Vaults are a native primitive of the Hyperliquid L1 that allow users to pool capital and execute specific trading strategies. They enable automated trading without needing to run your own bot or sign every transaction.

Decentralized Management
Unlike traditional hedge funds, vaults are transparent and non-custodial. You can see every trade the vault makes in real-time.

Copy Trading Mechanics

Copy trading allows you to deposit USDC into a vault managed by a professional trader. Your capital will automatically mirror the trades of the vault leader in proportion to your share of the vault.

  • Performance Based: Leaders only earn when you earn.
  • Proportional Growth: Gains and losses are distributed based on your percentage of the total pool.

Market Making & HLP

Some vaults, like the native HLP vault, focus on market-making. They provide liquidity to the orderbook and earn from the spread and trading fees.

Market Neutrality
Market-making vaults aim for steady growth but can experience "impermanent loss" or drawdowns during extreme one-way market trends.

Becoming a Vault Leader

Anyone can start their own vault on Hyperliquid. If you have a winning strategy, you can allow others to deposit and earn a performance fee on the profits you generate for them.

Risk Warning: Trading perpetual futures involves significant risk of loss. Only trade with capital you can afford to lose. Dexly is a non-custodial interface; you are responsible for your own funds and trading decisions.
