Security Best Practices
Proactively protect your capital and data. A practical guide to wallet security, phishing prevention, and safe on-chain habits.
Wallet Safety
Security in DeFi starts and ends with your wallet. As a non-custodial user, you are solely responsible for the safety of your funds.
- Never share your Seed Phrase: No one from Dexly, Hyperliquid, or MetaMask will ever ask for your recovery phrase. If they do, it's a scam.
- Use Strong Passwords: Ensure your wallet extension and device are protected by unique, complex passwords.
- Bookmark Dexly: Avoid using search engines to find Dexly, as "sponsored" results can sometimes lead to phishing clones.
Preventing Phishing
Phishing is the most common way traders lose money. Malicious actors create perfect replicas of trading sites to trick you into signing a malicious transaction.

Smart Contract Hygiene
Interacting with smart contracts requires "Approve" transactions. Only approve what is necessary and be cautious of "Unlimited Approval" requests from unknown platforms.
Safety First
Secure Trading Agents
Trading Agents on Dexly are designed to be safe because they have limited permissions. They cannot withdraw your funds. However, you should still follow these rules:
- Only authorize agents for specific trading periods.
- Revoke agent permissions if you are not planning to trade for an extended time.
- Keep your device malware-free to prevent agent key local theft.

Risk Warning: Trading perpetual futures involves significant risk of loss. Only trade with capital you can afford to lose. Dexly is a non-custodial interface; you are responsible for your own funds and trading decisions.
